Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VonoAI LLC (“Vono”, “we”) handles your personal data when you visit the tryvono.com website, try the demo, and use the Vono AI phone assistant service. Our processing complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (the “Infotv.”).
1. Data controller and contact
Data controller: VonoAI LLC (“Vono”).
Registered seat: 1051 Budapest, Példa utca 1, Hungary. Company reg. no.: 01-09-XXXXXX. Tax no.: XXXXXXXX-2-42.
Email: hello@tryvono.com. For any privacy-related question, contact us at the email above. We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer.
2. Scope and applicable law
This policy applies to visitors of tryvono.com and to users of the demo and the service.
Processing is governed by the GDPR and Hungarian law, in particular the Infotv.
3. Website hosting
The website is operated on the European (Frankfurt) region infrastructure of Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). The host processes the data needed to serve the site (e.g. IP address, device and browser data, log files).
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
4. Server log files
Each time the website is accessed, certain technical data is recorded automatically: the IP address, date and time of access, the page viewed, the referring URL, and the browser and operating system type.
We process this data for the security and operation of the website on the basis of legitimate interest, and delete or anonymise it shortly afterwards.
5. Trying the AI phone assistant (demo)
If you enter your phone number for the demo, we place an AI-generated call to that number. In doing so we process: identification and contact data, company name, and any information you share during the call. We record and transcribe calls to improve quality.
We use the following processors to operate the service:
Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in demonstrating and improving the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and (f)). Please do not share special categories of data during the call (e.g. health, religious, political or biometric data).
- Twilio Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland) — telephony infrastructure
- LiveKit Inc. (San Francisco, USA) — real-time voice transport
- ElevenLabs Inc. (New York, USA) — speech synthesis
- Deepgram Inc. (San Francisco, USA) — speech recognition
- OpenAI Ireland Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland) — language model
- Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Frankfurt, eu-central-1) and Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — hosting and compute
6. Email contact
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to handle your enquiry.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
7. Online appointment scheduling
To book a demo or sales call we use Cal.com Inc. (San Francisco, USA). The identification, contact and company data you provide for the booking are processed by Cal.com as a processor.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
8. Web analytics
To analyse use of the website — only with your consent — we collect statistical data using PostHog (e.g. pages viewed, clicks, device data, anonymised IP address).
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in the cookie settings.
9. Google Fonts
The website loads its fonts via Google Fonts, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland), in the course of which your IP address may be transmitted to Google’s servers.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in consistent presentation or, where required, your consent.
10. Cookies and local storage
The website uses strictly necessary cookies and — with your consent — statistical cookies and local/session storage.
For non-essential cookies we ask for your prior consent, which you can change or withdraw at any time. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings.
11. International transfers
Some of our processors are located in the United States or other non-EU countries. Such transfers are safeguarded by an adequacy decision (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.
12. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for its purpose. Contact data is kept until your enquiry is closed or you withdraw consent; demo-call recordings only until the improvement purpose is met; and contract and accounting data for the period required by law (8 years for accounting documents).
13. Recipients and data sharing
We share your personal data only where necessary to provide the service, where required by law, or where you have consented. We do not sell your data. Possible categories of recipients:
- the processors named above
- accounting and invoicing providers
- legal counsel or debt-collection partners (where necessary)
- authorities and courts, where required by law
14. Data security
Vono applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and, where appropriate, pseudonymisation.
15. Your rights
In connection with the processing you have the following rights:
- access to your personal data and a copy of it
- rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
- erasure (“right to be forgotten”) where the conditions are met
- restriction of processing
- data portability (in a machine-readable format)
- objection to processing based on legitimate interest
- withdrawal of consent at any time, free of charge (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing)
16. Remedies and supervisory authority
If your rights are infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH; 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11; postal: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9; ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu) or seek a judicial remedy. The court of your place of residence also has jurisdiction.
This policy and our data processing are governed by Hungarian law.
